(REVIEW) 'Hello world, can’t you see?' With these exciting words, ATEEZ opened the evening at Palais 12. The Korean boy group, consisting of eight performers named Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho, delivered an energetic performance that only true artists can deliver. It was their first time performing in Belgium since their debut in October 2018, and the nonstop energy throughout the concert was a testament to that. The fans, known as Atiny, cheered eight times louder than any other audience.

ATEEZ kicked off with the song 'New World', which amusingly was the closer of their most recent comeback album 'THE WORLD EP.1: MOVEMENT', instantly setting the venue ablaze. Atiny couldn’t take their eyes off the lively performance, perhaps partly because the eldest member of the group, Seonghwa, repeatedly sang 'Open up your eyes' throughout the song. The setlist was well-balanced with tracks from their latest album and older hits. In total, the group performed 23 songs over three hours, divided into different sections. The first part was up-tempo with some more emotional songs, the second part had a more joyful atmosphere, and the highly anticipated third part of the concert featured the title track of their latest album, 'Guerrilla', where fans worldwide eagerly awaited the chance to shout 'BREAK THE WALL' during the song’s outro. They ended the energetic evening with a calm encore of three more songs.

Each section was concluded with a short video recording lasting a few minutes, giving the members just enough time to change outfits for the next part of the concert. In between the songs, the group often chatted with the fans, sometimes sharing funny stories and other times sincerely thanking their fans for their immeasurable support and endless energy during the concert. The audience enjoyed every song the group performed, but the energy that songs like 'Cyberpunk', 'The Real', 'HALA HALA', 'I’m The One', 'WONDERLAND', and, of course, 'Guerrilla' brought was unmatched.

The fans had been waiting for ATEEZ since their debut five years ago was also acknowledged by the group. 'Belgium! Have you saved up your energy for the past five years?' asked the group’s leader, Hongjoong, after fans couldn’t stop screaming at every move the group made. The crowd barked loudly for member Mingi, who seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. The venue was beautifully lit as the LIGHTINYs, ATEEZ’s lightsticks, connected and created a light show synchronized with the music. Fans couldn’t get enough of the group and were reluctant to let them go after the heartfelt promise from leader Hongjoong to return to Brussels as soon as possible to meet their Atiny again.
